Morgan Stone CFPW. Morgan Stone, CFP®, MBA

Morgan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner with over fifteen years experience in the financial services industry.   He is the founder of Stone Asset Management, Inc., a Fee-Only Registered Investment Advisor Firm

Morgan graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1992 and completed the Texas School of Trust Banking in 1996. He earned an MBA with a Personal Financial Planning concentration from St. Edward's University in 2003 and completed the Financial Planning Association Residency Program at DePaul University in 2004.  Prior to founding Stone Asset Management, Morgan was Vice President of Austin Trust Company. 

Morgan is a Registered Financial Advisor with the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and is member of the Financial Planning Association and the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas.  He is also on the Board of Directors of the Stephen F. Austin High School Continuing Education Foundation and is active with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Morgan has been quoted in several publications including Newsweek, BusinessWeek, Investment News and Financial Planning. He has testified before the Travis County Probate Court as an expert witness on investments and has guest lectured at the University of Texas Economics Association. 

Morgan and his wife Jenny are native Austinites and are the proud parents of Will and Katherine.

Brittany Farris, Associate Planner

Brittany joined Stone Asset Management in the summer of 2010.  She holds a BS in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Prior to joining Stone Asset Management, Inc. Brittany completed an internship at a fee only financial planning firm in New York. She then worked for JWA Financial Group in Dallas as an associate financial planner.  During her tenure there, she was responsible for gathering, analyzing and evaluating data for new financial plans and annual review meetings. She also assisted with rebalancing and trade procedures for firm wide clients.

Brittany is a member of the Financial Planning Association and previously served as the Vice President for the Pro Bono committee of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. She currently volunteers with Foundation Communities as part of their community tax centers.
